safety handbook

The intent of this handbook is to be used as a guideline to familiarize our fellow riders with important RULES of the ROAD and methods adopted by Road Captains (RC) to safely conduct group rides. When riding in a group, it is essential to understand the techniques used to secure intersections, change lanes, keep the group together, and return the Road Captains to their original position.  These easy-to-follow, common sense instructions MUST be followed to ensure the safety of the group, the Road Captains, and the public. After you read and understand this handbook, there is but one thing left to do.  Come on out and be part of something truly awesome – Riding SAFELY in a group RIDE!

Any coordinators for the Alpha Roundup will not be held responsible for accidents, injuries, or thefts.

Each individual will be responsible for any violations of the law.  Helmets are required for group rides.
For your safety and that of your fellow riders, participation is to be drug and alcohol free.
